Product Overview

The intelligent integrated vortex flowmeter is a new generation of high-quality intelligent instrument developed by adopting the latest international digital integration technology and in accordance with the actual needs of domestic industrial automatic control.

A new type of stress-detection intelligent vortex flowmeter with piezoelectric crystals as detection elements. This instrument features a wide range ratio, high precision, low pressure loss, good medium versatility, pulse and current signals proportional to the flow rate, RS-485 communication output, and ease of connection with a computer.

Due to the fact that the wholesale flowmeter adopts the separate installation of the detection probe and the vortex generator, and the high-temperature resistant piezoelectric sheet does not come into contact with the medium, the instrument features a simple structure, good versatility and high stability. It is available in two types: active and passive. The passive type does not require external power supply and is equipped with a built-in 3.6V battery, with a battery life of more than three years.

The on-site LCD meter head displays real-time temperature, real-time pressure, instantaneous flow rate and cumulative flow rate. It has temperature and pressure compensation functions. When measuring gas and steam, it compensates by looking up the table according to the measured temperature and pressure to ensure that the flow rate is not affected by changes in temperature and pressure, which may cause changes in gas density and affect the accuracy of the flowmeter.

The intelligent flowmeter is equipped with self-diagnosis and automatic compensation functions for temperature and pressure faults. It records the clock and date in case of power failure. The working condition and standard flow can be switched and displayed through buttons. It adopts dual sensors and has a strong vibration function.

The intelligent integrated vortex flowmeter can measure flow, temperature and pressure simultaneously. For steam and gas applications, the instrument calculates compensated flow according to the actual operating temperature and pressure, helping users obtain more reliable standard-volume or mass-flow data.

Suitable for Multiple Media

The LUGB series can be used for clean liquids, industrial gases, saturated steam and other process media. It is suitable for utility monitoring, production control, energy management and process consumption measurement.

Low Pressure Loss

The streamlined vortex generator creates relatively low permanent pressure loss, helping reduce energy consumption in steam, compressed-air and gas distribution systems.

Local Display and Remote Transmission

The LCD display can show instantaneous flow, accumulated flow, temperature and pressure information. Pulse, current and RS-485 communication outputs are available for connection to PLC, DCS, flow totalizers and energy management systems.

Intelligent Diagnostics

The instrument provides self-diagnosis and compensation functions for abnormal temperature or pressure signals. Operating data, date and accumulated flow information can be retained to support equipment management and process monitoring.

Flexible Power Supply

Active and battery-powered configurations are available. The battery-powered version is suitable for measurement points where external power wiring is inconvenient.

Steam Flow Measurement

Steam density changes with operating temperature and pressure. Therefore, measuring only the operating volumetric flow may not accurately represent actual steam consumption.

The LUGB intelligent integrated vortex flowmeter uses measured temperature and pressure data to compensate the flow calculation. It can be used for boiler output monitoring, workshop steam allocation, heat-exchanger consumption measurement and plant energy accounting.

For saturated steam, the operating pressure or temperature should be provided during selection. For superheated steam, both operating temperature and pressure are required.

Correct sizing is important because an oversized vortex flowmeter may not detect low flow reliably, while an undersized meter may create excessive velocity and pressure loss.

Installation Recommendations

Install the Intelligent Integrated Vortex Flowmeter in the direction indicated by the flow arrow and ensure that the internal diameter of the pipeline matches the flowmeter bore.

Provide sufficient straight pipe before and after the instrument. Valves, elbows, reducers, pumps and other components that disturb the flow profile should not be installed immediately upstream of the flowmeter.

For steam measurement, the pipeline should remain fully filled with steam and excessive condensate accumulation should be avoided. Proper pipeline insulation, drainage and pressure stabilization can improve measurement performance.

Strong mechanical vibration and severe flow pulsation may affect vortex signal detection. The pipeline should therefore be properly supported, and control valves should preferably be installed downstream of the flowmeter.

What media can the LUGB vortex flowmeter measure?

It can measure clean liquids, industrial gases and steam. The medium should not contain large quantities of solid particles, fibers or highly viscous material that could disturb vortex generation.

Can it measure both saturated and superheated steam?

Yes. The correct temperature and pressure compensation configuration should be selected according to the steam condition. Superheated steam measurement normally requires both temperature and pressure information.

Is the flowmeter suitable for low-flow measurement?

Vortex flowmeters require a minimum flow velocity to generate a stable vortex signal. The minimum, normal and maximum flow rates should therefore be provided so that the correct meter size can be selected.

Does the instrument require straight pipe sections?

Yes. Stable vortex measurement requires a sufficiently developed flow profile. The required straight pipe length depends on upstream elbows, valves, reducers and other pipeline components.

Can it connect to a PLC or DCS?

Yes. Pulse, current and RS-485 communication options can be selected for integration with PLC, DCS, flow totalizers or energy monitoring systems.

When should a battery-powered model be selected?

A battery-powered model is suitable for local indication, remote pipelines and measurement points where external power is unavailable or difficult to install. The required output and communication functions should be confirmed before selection.
