The SHLEES circular gear flow transmitter is a volumetric flow transmitter. A transmitter for high-precision measurement of volumetric flow. As the medium flows, the gears mesh and rotate. Under the effect of fluid flow, a pressure difference is formed at the inlet and outlet ends of the instrument. Without power supply, a pair of gears rotate freely, and the cavity between the gears is filled with liquid. The liquid is discharged as it rotates. By measuring the number of revolutions of the gears, the flow rate of the liquid passing through the instrument can be known.

Installation Recommendations

Install the flowmeter according to the marked flow direction and ensure that the measuring chamber remains completely filled with liquid during operation. A filter should be installed upstream when the medium may contain hard particles or impurities, as solid contamination can increase gear wear or block the measuring chamber.

Avoid dry running and sudden pressure shocks. For high-viscosity liquids, the pipeline and medium may need to be heated before startup to reduce pressure loss and ensure stable flow.

What liquids can a circular gear flowmeter measure?
